About Us
Back in 2012, Dunwoody resident Chuck Wing noticed that car enthusiasts in Dunwoody and Sandy Springs needed a place to connect. He started the Dunwoody Driving Club (DDC) for owners of sports cars, vintage autos, unique trucks, motorcycles, and tractors (yes tractors) to get together for monthly meetings.
Members also participate in the Dunwoody 4th of July Parade and our annual fall Concourse d’Elegance Show. The club is social, family-oriented, and has been hosting fun events since our first show on March 27, 2012.
Over the years, our events have included:
- Visiting the Cofer Brothers Car Collection
- Breakfast at the Big Green Egg
- Pizza dinners at Vintage Pizza
- Shows at various locations where we’ve collected donations for the needy
- School supply donations to Chestnut Elementary School
- Lemonade Days at Brook Run Park
- Events at Chastain Park and the Savoy Museum
In 2022, at age 80, Chuck decided to hand the keys over to Rob D’Amico. Rob is a long-time member with extensive experience in car events, social media, radio and podcasting. Under his leadership, the club continues to thrive, and grow.
In late 2022, we renamed the Dunwoody Driving Club to the Metro Motorcar Club and today we’ve partnered with Car Connection, Inc to create Atlanta’s newest premiere Auto Club + Storage called CC Auto Club + Storage. At CC Auto Club + Storage we now offer a members only clubhouse, storage, sales, and a service and detailing center.
I’m honored to lead such a great club and excited to build its future while keeping our traditions and community commitment. Cars bring us together, but it’s the people that make the difference. Join us at CC Auto Club + Storage, where car enthusiasts connect, share, and enjoy their passion for vehicles.
